Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) is a proprietary quality model of United Technology Corporation (UTC), USA. As a major supplier of services to UTC and their affiliates, Infotech has adopted this quality model at our UTC Center of Excellence.
On October 16th, 2007, Steve Finger, President of Pratt & Whitney, visited Hyderabad, India, and formally recognized the Pratt & Whitney and Hamilton Sundstrand Engineering teams for their ACE Gold site achievement. These sites are only the 55th and 56th UTC sites out of a total of over 900 to receive ACE Gold status. The Gold level is the highest level of achievement, awarded only to sites that fully integrate the activities and training of lean manufacturing with business metrics.
2006 General Procurement Key Supplier of the Year
Infotech received the 2006 General Procurement Key Supplier of the Year award by UTC, Supply Chain Management. UTC has relationships with more than 50,000 suppliers, customers, and partners around the world. Infotech is among 22 key suppliers serving 17 Commodity Groups. Infotech was chosen for the award based on high customer-feedback scores and cost savings gained by UTC with Infotech.
Optistruct Weight Reduction Initiatives Award
Infotech's engineering team has been recognized for reducing the weight of a critical aircraft component in an air management system by 35 percent. The Infotech customer recognized the improved air management system with an "Optistruct Weight Reduction Initiatives" award.
